Wouldn't you like to know more about that person that sells you your funny books?  What do they do when they go home?  Do they ever go home?  What books do they read?  What games do they play?

Chuck is not only the oldest employee of Titan Games and Comics still currently employed, but he’s also the oldest employee in age.  For both of these reasons we decided to profile Chuck first.  It’s his honor to go first and we don’t want him to die before we get to him.  Chuck started with Titan Games and Comics in March of 1988.  He was a fan of sci-fi (mainly Star Trek) and slowly moved into comics.  Chuck lives in Forest Park.

When I asked Chuck for his most interesting story since he’s been with Titan he had a good one.  One day Emmanuel Lewis walked through the door.  He was looking for anything Mighty Mouse: comic books, action figures, posters, whatever.  He went to the back of the store.  “This whole time I didn’t know who he was”, said Chuck.  “And then I heard him giggle.  I knew it was Webster after that.”

The last thing I asked Chuck was to play a little game.  I asked Chuck to name as many superheroes as he could in 30 seconds.  He named 15.  It’s tougher than you think.  Give it a try.

Mike is the second oldest employee at Titan Games and Comics.  Mike started in May of 1988 and now is the manager of Titan in Duluth.  He got started in the comics business because of his love of comics and gaming.  Before working at Titan he was employed with Back in Time, a game and comic specialty store that is now extinct.

When I asked Mike for his most interesting story since he’s been with Titan he also had a good one.  One day a van pulled up at the nearby Burger King and 7 or 8 clowns got out.  They stopped in to check out some comics and get a couple Whoppers.  The van was on its way to a church function.  Mike will always remember the van of Church Clowns.

The last thing I asked Mike was to play a little game.  I asked Mike to name as many female superheroes as he could in 30 seconds.  He named 9.  Give it a try.  Don’t cheat.

Shelley started with Titan Games and Comics back in July 1988.  She started at the Duluth store and eventually was put in charge of the Smyrna store.  Shelley's interest in comics is what first drew her into the business.

When I asked Shelley for her most interesting story since she’s been with Titan she had a good one.  One day she noticed it was raining.  Not just outside of the store, but also inside.  After some investigation and a couple of phone calls it turned out that the neighbors had recently installed a new barbecue pit and hadn’t sealed it correctly.  A shelf and some games were ruined.

The last thing I asked Shelley was to play a little game.  I asked Shelley to name as many anime television shows as she could in 30 seconds.  She named 10.  It’s tougher than you think.  Give it a try.
